Who we are
Nusantara Overland is a private tour operator in Indonesia (East Java, Bali, Lombok and Yogyakarta). You can contact us about your data at booking@nusantaraoverland.com or on WhatsApp at +62 811 3511 175.
Data we collect
- Booking requests. When you send a booking request we collect your name, email address, WhatsApp number, tour and date, number of travellers, pick-up location and any requests you write. You pay nothing when you book, and we never ask for card details on this website.
- Messages. If you write to us by email or WhatsApp, we receive the details you send.
- Visit statistics and ad measurement. If you click “Accept” on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are viewed, roughly where visits come from and what device is used. We also use Google Ads measurement to see whether a visit that started from one of our ads led to a booking request. These are statistics, not a way for us to identify you, and we do not use them to show you personalised ads.
- Technical data. Our server records IP addresses, browser type and requested pages for security. A security plugin also records IP addresses of failed login attempts to the site’s admin area.
Cookies and browser storage
- Your choice on the cookie banner is stored in your browser (local storage) so it does not appear again.
- If you click “Accept”, Google Analytics and Google Ads set cookies for statistics and ad measurement. If you click “Decline”, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. Both run with Google Consent Mode: analytics and advertising storage are denied until you accept.
- Your currency choice for price estimates is also stored in your browser. Fonts are hosted on our own server, so no font data goes to third parties.
Why we use your data
- To answer your questions, check availability, confirm your tour and arrange pick-up (to take steps you ask for before a booking).
- To send you confirmation and follow-up emails about your booking.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it (only with your consent).
- To keep the site secure and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who receives your data
- Local partners who run your tour (drivers, guides, hotels and similar), who receive only what they need, such as your name, group size, pick-up details and contact number.
- Service providers who host this website and handle email.
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads), if you accept cookies.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you contact us on WhatsApp, under that service’s own terms.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We are based in Indonesia, so your data is processed in Indonesia and may also be processed in other countries by the providers above. We use providers that apply reasonable data protection measures.
How long we keep data
We keep booking requests and messages for as long as needed to arrange and follow up your tour, and as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your data at any time. Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting of our analytics account.
Your rights
Under Indonesian data protection law (Law No. 27 of 2022) and, for visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, the GDPR, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent you have given, object to or ask us to restrict certain processing, and receive your data in a portable format. To use these rights, email booking@nusantaraoverland.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. To change your cookie choice, clear this site’s data in your browser and reload the page.
Security
This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to data is limited to people who need it. No system is completely risk-free, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is not directed at children. If you travel with children, please give only the details needed to arrange the tour.

We may update this policy. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page.
